Hello, greetings from Indonesia.
It's 20.42 here and something popped into my head a couple minutes ago.
I want to share my drawing of Benedict Cumberbatch. Well yeah I know it looks terrible, haha but I made it with love. Feel free to comment ;)
This is the original photo:
And this is my drawing:
Hahaha, his eyes become bigger in my drawing. Sorry guys, I'm an amateur in drawing, I don't understand scales nor coloring techniques. Just for fun, anyway.
Cheers!

Sherlock Madness
I’m so obsessed with Sherlock.
Oh, if anybody have no idea what Sherlock is, here’s the Wikipedia link for general information. I just can tell you that is a sleuth-drama series produced by BBC. Yes, it is about Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Just like the one you watch in cinema lately. Sherlock is a modern interpretation of the canon, old-fashioned Sherlock Holmes. It is AWESOME and BRILLIANT. I love every aspects, cast, crew, every details in it. Oh God.
I even join the fandom, which is ridiculously insane. Everyone’s analyzing a dialogue, scene, properties, anything. Gotta love Claire for her Tumblr account (Crumpets, I've been Cumberbatched), specially made for share her madness of Benedict Cumberbatch (oh, I envy her so much for she had many chances to meet and see Benedict). Sherlock makes me want to go to London even more!
Sadly, it is only 3 episodes every season. And there’s only 2 seasons (I think I have mentioned it earlier). I don’t know why Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat (the writer and producer) torture me and all Sherlockians out there that mean. Season 1 is aired in BBC 1 in 2010. I found out Sherlock in August 2011, when I was watching TV, shifting channels and stop in AXN Beyond with no purpose, I see the scene which the first time Sherlock meets John (A Study in Pink). At first I was like, “oh, I never see it before, what’s this?”. And then Benedict Sherlock said with his British accent in deep sexy voice, introduced himself to John, “the name’s Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221 B Baker Street--*wink*--afternoon!” he dashed out with his long coat.
And then I was, MY GOD. MY DEAR GOD, WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THAT?
I was drooling like an idiot, everytime I watch it in AXN.
Then I’m officially crazy for it, especially for *cough* Benedict *cough*. The bad side is I was getting into Sherlock a lot while August-September is when I should be totally focus to do my thesis. Therefore, I couldn’t think why this bloody yeast didn’t grow or why this tauco is much saltier than the other. There’s a imaginary stage, in my mind, which play Sherlock’s scene over and over again. Damn you, Sherlock! :D
But I don’t regret anything. No. I don’t know whether it’s a blessing or a disaster to obsessed with Sherlock. I just thank God for it. That’s what human do, anyway, right? I thank my dad too to subscribe the Indovision channels so I can watch AXN Beyond. Thank you Gema and Yogas for “the access” to every episode of Sherlock. And thank you Benedict for being lovely, I mean, for playing Sherlock beautifully. :D
I love how Sherlock and my conversation class enrich me with new vocabularies. Wicked! ;)
So, here's a little Sherlock's delight for you:
Oh and tomorrow the final episode of season 2 (dammit!) will be aired in BBC 1. The Reichenbach Fall, actually I'm not ready for it in any form. *sobbing*
Cheers!

How I Spent the Very First Day of 2012
Happy New Year, all! :D
How was your holiday? How did you spend your New Year's Eve? I remember exactly what I did in New Year's Eve last year. I was just laying in a couch, watching TV. Two years ago I did the same, watched TV, the only difference is I spent the night at my sister's house. Mel said that such a thing is totally boring. She will frown and yell, "get a life!!". Haha.
I went to Garut on 31st December, had my own fireworks (it was my brother who fire it, and I was cowardly running away from the firework so I can't see when it shoots the sky, too scared to hear its loud voice :p), and went to Ranca Buaya Beach in the next morning.
Gosh, it was a looooooooong way to get there. Yeah, Ranca Buaya is less known compare to Pangandaran or Pelabuhan Ratu or other south beach in West Java. But my father seemed very enjoy to explore the rocky road, quiet beach, a place visited by a few tourist and only local people around.
I prefer to go shopping in Singapore :p.
But, I tried to enjoy myself with nice thoughts and good tunes.
And here it is, an essay I made spontaneously along the twist roads. I made it in Bahasa, I wish I could write an essay in English, someday:
We only had an hour or two in the beach, then went home in Garut. Yes, we didn't book any hotel, there's a house--it was previously my late grandmother's house, but then we renovated it--a family house. Oh, and we captured a rainbow in the middle our way home! I don't even remember when the last time I saw a rainbow, so it was exciting :D
Apparently the photo is in my cellphone, I activate its bluetooth service but it doesn't work, haha I have no idea how to fix it.
There's a lot fortune tellers who predict what will happen in 2012. Also we can easily found an astrology fortune in various magazine. I don't take it personally, it is just for fun. Hope this year will bring us bunch of awesomeness!
Cheers!

Lahan hijau terhampar sejauh mata memandang, bukit bergelombang dipenuhi tetumbuhan yang hidup begitu sejahteranya. Kabut merendah memeluk bukit.
Jalan berkelok menembus pegunungan.
We only had an hour or two in the beach, then went home in Garut. Yes, we didn't book any hotel, there's a house--it was previously my late grandmother's house, but then we renovated it--a family house. Oh, and we captured a rainbow in the middle our way home! Bad Scholar's Diary
Oh, I'm so flattered with my bestfriend's comment in my last post. So flattered that I have to tell you now, haha. Thank you, Isma. I miss you.. here, have a kiss and hug from me. :*
Okay, as I promised, I'll tel you how my life is confusing right now. I think I've mentioned earlier that I really get bored to deal with Microbiology again. Here's a little story: my final project (and Fida)'s budget is supported by PT. Indofood. So, when I finished my thesis, they requested us to make a final report. Actually Mrs Dea is the one who asked to us directly. I thought it would take no big effort to make the report, since we only have to combine our thesis and make it one final report. Oh, and we have to make a journal too, a scientific journal to be published in JMS (Journal of Mathematics and Science).
Then, Mrs Dea reviewed our journals, thoroughly, and said,
"I think it has to be modified, here look, when the ratio of bacteria is less than yeast, you should explain why did the yeast grow slower, even didn't exist. And also the conclusion. It has to be a connection between the microbe's growth and the best tauco that produced. Which tauco is the best should be a combination among those factors you wrote in discussion here. Find some literature to explain that."
And I was like: "WHAT? I SHOULD MODIFY MY 'RESULT AND DISCUSSION'? AGAIN? NOT A CHANCE. I FORGET WHAT I DID IN FINAL PROJECT. WHAT IS BACTERIA?"
Of course I yelled it to myself. I was well-behaved in front of Mrs Dea and said nothing but agreement to her. I like her actually, the clever-one-but-not-so-geeky lecturer.
Then I modified the 'result and discussion' in my thesis. Just opened my very first page of the thesis, I yawned. And then I read sentences by sentences, I fell asleep...and wake up, sleep, wake up again, very inconvenience. Oh God, that was very boring. Mrs Dea asked me to find some more literature. Since I'm very lazy to think about it again, I put any numbers that resembles with the problem. I don't care which Rhodotorula I looked up in the internet, the important thing is my thesis is modified and is added some new information. That's a bad scientist.
But then, all my business with Indofood stuff is done already. Our journal is sent to JMS administration but we don'tcare have no idea whether it will published or not. Yeah, I really get bored with this Microbiology thing. I just can't imagine myself doing a master's degree in Microbiology, spending my whole time in a laboratory looking on microbes. No.
And the confusing parts are;
"what will I do after I graduated?"
"will I get a job or continue to a higher degree?"
"what major/subject will I take for my master's degree?"
"what job is suitable for me? will my parent allow me to do?"
Gaaah, I still don't know the answer yet. But anyway, I don't take it rashly. I'm thinking while I'm enjoying my current life. There's nothing to be regretted or worried. Well, I'm a liar if I tell you I didn't regret or worry anything. Sometimes I do, but in the other time, the optimistic side of me whispers, "keep calm and carry on!"
Speaking about enjoy, I do enjoy spending time at home. Isn't that boring? Well, I'll share it later. ;)
P.S: The first sentence I made on December 12. So, I'd like to thank Veness too for write the lovely same comment ;)
Cheers!

Campaign and Conversation
Hello, there.
Yes, it has been a month since I graduated. It has been a month too I didn’t blog. Shame on me.
My life has been good yet confusing. Three weeks ago I joined a campaign team for the Head of ITB Alumni election. Mr. Sambodo was lose, anyway, but it’s still a great experience for me. Some new friends, knowledge, and salary :D. Well the salary’s not much, but it’s worth the job. I was an administrator for twitter account which is used for the campaign. Nearly 24 hours I supposed to tweet some useful information to the followers. It’s quite amusing, since I usually just blabbing on my own account, sharing my personal thoughts.
And after the election, I am now joining a conversation class at BLCI. It is super fun. I don’t know, maybe I just dramatize it, but have a new friends, circle around in the class, with a native speaker’s speaking to us, it just—according to Syahrini’s famous word—sesuatu. Plus I’ve been falling in love with English since I was in junior high. No doubt I will love what I do every Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday at 4 pm.
There are 8 people in the class. Ryan, Zulfa, Atia, Riana, Hana, Febi, Adit, and me. We’re just 3 days together, but it seems like we’re already know about each other. It’s because topics in our handbook force us to tell others about our personality and family, as far it goes. So, I know Adit is an impatient person, Atia is more organized after he lived in Japan for 2 years, Febi’s biggest fear is a caterpillar, Zulfa is a fan of rock music, Hana is a material engineering student who has passion in fashion and culinary, Ryan learned to swim when he accompanied his aunt to relieve stroke with swimming therapy, Riana is going to strict to her daughter because she thinks a girl should be more protected.
They know how strict my parents was so I couldn’t go to a big parties. And also, we know Mel, our teacher, had an adventurous parents, which is cool. Mel is from Bristol, England. She refuses to be called Miss or Ma’am. Sometimes we have an awkward situation which were none of us could describe something in English. But then Mel helped, so in last 3 days, Mel was still taking over the conversation. I just hope, in next 5 weeks, my 7 friends and I can make our English even better.
Okay, that’s for today. Oh, did I tell you my life is confusing? Hmm, I’ll tell you what else, in the next post. :)
Cheers!
