Keep Calm and Go to London

Hello there, ladies and gentlemen.

I have been brushing on Tumblr, I'm so sorry. Tumblr is like my new playground where I can spend all day long without concerning a time. Especially there's the fandom which is brilliant and posts hilarious stuff. Alright, I have said that sometime before.

Well, now. I looked a scholarship info two weeks ago in here, and found a link to the Westminster University, London. I know this is a bit lame--because there's must be millions of similar videos about London--but this is the one I want to share with you.

And excuse me while I'm asdghjjklihw.

But some people say that Westminster University is horrible. I don't know whether this is true or not, I watched tens videos related to Westminster and the comments were not a complimentary. But this video is good, though, well-edited.

The fact that it's in Central London makes me...

If someone happens to know the facts about the Westminster University, please let me know. Thank you.

Cheers!

Hugo and John

So, last Thursday Refa and I went to a cinema and we were going to watch Hugo. This is the trailer:

Actually it was me who wanted to watch it, hehe. There are two reason why I want to see it. Apparently the leading character, Hugo, and the other character (I don't know who but I think he's not a sidekick, because as can be seen on the trailer, Hugo's adventure-pal is a girl)--resemble Sherlock and John. And the fandom makes some gifs and videos that connect BBC Sherlock and Hugo as a young Sherlock-John. Yeah, just a regular thing we do on Tumblr :p
The second reason, though, this movie received five Oscars, two BAFTAs, and nominated for three Golden Globe Awards. So, I believe this is a good movie.

Unfortunately, there's no Hugo at the cinema we went to. Then we decided to watch another movie since we were there and really wanted to watch a movie. So, we bought John Carter ticket. Before we went to the cinema, Refa's friend had told him about it and Refa was curious about what kind of movie was that.

Well, it is basically a movie based on a book by Edgar Rice Borrough. It's a science-fiction fantasy movie, which is not quite my thing. So, I'll say it... yeeeaaahhh, not bad.. not good though. Youtube comments said that it's a merger between Star Wars, Prince of Persia, Gladiator, Avatars, and even Sherlock Holmes (maybe because the gentlemen's suits, a tall hat, and the setting from the first minutes that looks like very British).

Well, I hope this may help you on what-to-watch.

Cheerio!

Cahaya Bulan

Apakah kau masih selembut dahulu?

Apakah kau masih membelaiku semesra dahulu?
Ketika kudekap, kau dekaplah lebih mesra. Lebih dekat.
Apakah kau masih akan berkata,
"kudengar derap jantungmu."

Kita begitu berbeda dalam semua,
kecuali dalam cinta.

Puisi ini ada di soundtracknya film Gie. Bagi yang belum nonton, nontonlah. Gak akan rugi.

Tuhan, betapa aku mencintai kata.
Biarkan aku hidup dengannya.

Cheers!

Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy

Yaaay! Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy is already released at 21! Asdfghjkl, I'm so gonna watch it! :D :D
It is still played at midnight, though, but I really really really hope that it will be played at normal time soon.
I was so excited when I saw the movie poster so I couldn't help myself to not took a photo :p

What concerns me is that it will stay at midnight show because there maybe very little people interested on this movie. It is, however, not a Hollywood movie which is usually less known. I hope 21 will play the trailer every time before whatever a movie starts.
It is an espionage movie, you know, like James Bond, but I think it's not a bang!bang! action movie. It is more likely a thriller. Watch the trailer, it gives some sort of chill feeling:

TTSS is nominated in the Academy Awards (Oscar) for Best Actor (Gary Oldman), Best Adapted Screenplay, and Best Original Score. It won the Best Adapted Screenplay and Outstanding British Film at British Academy Film Awards. In fact, TTSS is nominated and won in many movie awards.

Yes, there's Gary Oldman as a leading role. Sounds familiar? He's Sirius Black in Harry Potter. Also there's John Hurt, the wand maker, Mr. Ollivander. And Colin Firth, anyone remember him as a stuttering king in The King's Speech? Yeah, I just know him from that movie. Mark Strong, the villain in Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes 1. And of course, there's Benedict Cumberbatch! (the main reason why I'm gonna watch it)

Let's hope it as good as spoken. I saw the script, yes there's an actual script, with an actual dialogue. Thank goodness.

Okay, Bye-bye!

Cheers!

The Tree of Life

Just watched The Tree of Life.
...
...
I don't get it.

Seriously,

Seriously, Terrence Malick, what are you getting at? I'm sorry, but I'm an average people who can't bear such an art.

I should have known before I watched this movie.

Nevertheless, I do appreciate those who create the movie. Clearly, even it was boring, but it's not a rubbish movie. It is a good movie, in fact, brilliant--in the art way. I'm not going to tell you the story because it will make me dizzy again. The point is, this movie is about family and faith. How each of family member express their emotions, questioning God, and connect dots.

I searched explanations and reviews from the internet and finally I can find one thing I like from this movie. That is:

When Mrs. O'Brien asked God; "Where were You when we needed You the most?" then Malick's lens brought us to a formation of the universe. And also the final scene that, I don't know, looked like The End of The Days, it's like a place where people brought there together to go to heaven, one called it "Padang Mahsyar".
This makes me think that we are extremely tiny compare to all that God has. Our problem, our everything, compare to a gigantic nebula, white dwarf, mountain lava, water falls... we are nothing more than a dust.
This is why people also think it's a religious movie. Yes, I think it does ring a bell of our faith.

This is the trailer:

Okay, that's all. Oh, and that Martin Freeman gif is from this. He is adorable, isn't he? Kitten rage :)))))

Cheerio!

Escape

Hello! Four days not post anything? Oh, what a terrible shame.

I don't know, I have the emptiest days recently. I mean, my life is not as bad as not taking a bath for weeks, attempting suicide by drinking Baygon, or so. I just feel empty. I have no occupation. I just wake up (at 10 am) and think what should I do today? Then end a day doing nothing but tumblr-ing. Oh speaking of which, I have a Tumblelog now, tee-hee. Simply just click it to find out ;)

I don't have any activity right now, except for my IELTS course, which is only 4,5 hours a week. Well, yeaaah... actually I know what people may say about this. Forgive me, it is just me... being wrong.

Aaaah..

Excuse me, my feelings are spattering away. I should go and catch them. Bye!

Cheers!

Calendars

Hi, welcome March!

Welcoming a new month is exciting yet terrifying because it reminds us how fast time flies. Usually I don't get too excited with a new month. For me that's just a regular day I go through, the most important thing about it, though, that it marks our time. But now, I found an exciting way to welcome a new month!

Sherlockology gives us a downloadable 2012 calendar, but you have to arrange anagram in each month in order to get access to the download link. Wicked!

Those are January and February calendars. I just downloaded March, of course I can't show it, yet. So Sherlockian, go and have fun solving the riddle! ;)

Cheers!
