Bring Me With You

My God, what is this? LOLOLOLOL. :))))
[source: my lovely fandom]

Though in fact, bring me to fly with you, Mr. Holmes. I'm bored here, except for my conversation course. I'll have written test tomorrow, wish me luck.

Cheers!

Random Fandom

I miss Sherlock. I miss the sound of its opening song which then followed by seconds of excitements, breath-taking scenes. Now I (and all the Sherlockians) am waiting for 3rd series. We never know exactly when it'll aired. Who can predict what Moffat and Gatiss think, by the way? Give times to the geniuses to work.

In meantime, I can't stop surf the fandom. They are Tumblr-base and extremely hilarious. They actually make me become crazier over Sherlock cure me of the longing for Sherlock.

How to run a show like an asshole:
Most Show Creators: We'd just like to let all our fans know that we've been signed on for a second AND a third season! Woo-hoo! You guys are great, thanks for all the love and support!
Team Mofftiss: Yeah guys, we've got season two coming. No idea if a third season is in the cards though.
Team Mofftiss: Still no word on a third season. Martin Freeman is busy hobbiting around New Zealand and Benedict Cumberbatch is like a fuckin' superstar now. Idek, guys.
Team Mofftiss: Why does everybody assume there is going to be a third season? It's really not looking likely. I mean, practically everybody dies at the end of season two anyway.
-Reichenbach airs-
Team Mofftiss: LOL YOU FUCKS, WE'VE BEEN SIGNED ON FOR SEASON THREE SINCE THE BEGINNING.

Benedict's reading John Keats? Are you kidding me? OF COURSE IT IS A TURN ON. How on earth it is possible to be a turn off?? I had an eargasm when I listened to it with earphone. Man with poem/poetry always a turn on. And that answer is COMPLETELY TRUE.
Oh, bless the fandom. I love 'em. :)))))))

This is my daily digest:

What I posted are all courtesy of them. :)

Oh, and I'm starting to listen to Cabin Pressure. Crazy airplane crew is crazy. :))))

History Rules!

Something has just hit my mind this morning.

While I was surfing the internet, looking for scholarship informations, my sister approached me and asked, (partly joked because she was playing with Aisya at that moment),

Sister: "Onti mau kemana sih?"
Me: "Onti mau ke Inggris dong, dadaaah."
Sister: "Kenapa mau ke Inggris? Kalo kita negara persemakmurannya mah gampang (beasiswanya). Kan kaya Belanda dan Jepang lebih banyak beasiswa untuk kita karena kita dulu jajahannya."

Boof!
I stopped look at my laptop monitor and stared my sister, who continued to play with Aisya. Maybe it's a common knowledge for my sister, but it's something new to me. Then I just realized why my sisters got their scholarship from those countries.

Colonization history! Yes of course! I didn't notice before, I was just like, "well yeah, okay, my sisters went school at Japan and Netherlands. Why don't I go to somewhere else?" without knowing that even to choose a country to study at is strongly related with history. Damn it.

Well, it doesn't mean that Indonesian can't get a scholarship from Britain, does it? My friend is studying master's degree in Manchester right now. She's a proof that Indonesian can study in England, not just citizens from its commonwealth. But yes, I have to say, scholarship from Europe especially Netherlands is much more than England has. Lots of Netherlands's scholarships are cover total tuition fees include living costs and even airplane tickets, while England has more bursaries (discounts) than full scholarships.

Yeah, I just want to share this information.
Gotta go, scholarships won't come by itself to my doorstep, right? I have to find it!

Cheers!

Oasis

For half an hour before the class had ended, Mel ordered us to make a group circle. She said that we had to tell about our dream job. The interesting one was the job could be anything, even the job which didn't exist.
"You can create the job, imagine there's no limitation to what you want to do," she said. "You can have 2 minutes to imagine it."

I was so enthusiastic about the topic so I didn't bother to close my eyes to imagine it. Maybe I looked so ready that I got the first turn. I said my dream job is to become a writer, an author, or a screenwriter. Adit's dream job is to be a famous (and rich :p) football player. Ryan's is to be a game tester. He said that he wouldn't mind to sit and play games for 8 hours a day. Zulfa's is to be a director (they said that Zulfa and I should be a team to make a movie, haha). Atia got the last turn and he made us shocked with his dream job. He wants to be a scientist/lecturer in computational chemistry. Our last minutes spent to discuss his dream job because we confused about what kind of study is that?? :D

That was one of the interesting parts of my conversation class. When I got home, I remember what Mel says that "imagine there's no limitation to what you want to do". I think this is why I am ecstatic everytime I attend the class and everything about English.
I find the other side of me when I speak in English, the more confident me, well of course that's if I can tell something fluently, hehe. I feel joy and every word I hear is like a recreational to me. I'm flying with lines, chasing syllable in a wide green field, no limits. I can be whatever I want to be, playing with words.

That's not something I can find in "the real life".

When I got home, I could feel life-problems were lurking around me. Then they attached themself to my shoulders, as if to remind me: "hey, solve us! there's no time to imagine chasing some bloody words, or whatever it is!". So, I came back to my real life, life with soooo many demands, sometimes compulsions. We must think about how to get money, to compete, to live better, to live faithful, to please everyone.
Life, complexity at its best.

This conversation class, for me, is an oasis. An oasis which about to end. I'll have final test at Tuesday and Thursday next week. So, I have to find another oasis. Oh, and of course, writing, for me, always be an oasis. Writing fiction/poem in English? Perfection.

Actually this is one of the bad baffled scholar's diaries. Yes, I'm still what-so-called unemployed, if anyone's interested.

So, what's your oasis, anyway?

Cheers!

Oh My Goood :))

Honestly, I feel a bit uncomfortable to put these Sherlock Uncovered videos (because of the SOPA issue). But I can't bear my excitement to share. Somebody has already uploaded it on Youtube. Well then, you know, once it's uploaded, the whole world can see.

I think my favorite is at 4:10 in Part 2. LOL. What creature are you, Ben? You possess a face of heaven and a deep tiger-in-a-cello voice yet sometimes can show some derpiness. :))))))))

Okay, this is 2 am. I blame you again, Sherlock, for making me sleep this late. :p

Cheers!

Sherlockian All Over the World

I was lurking on fandom, again. And this is what I found:

I just had a moment of realisation while watching the Sherlock titles.
I love us.
I love everything about us. I love the basis of our show; I love where it takes us, I love the people behind it, I love the people in it, I love the visuals, I love the soundtrack, I love the heroes (though they refuse to be), I love the villains, I love their relationships, I love the authorities. I love the fandom, I love our jokes, our stories, our ideas, how much we study each episode as if our lives depended on the conclusion. I love the suspense, I love the complexity, I love the humour, I love the terror, I love the sensuality, I love the mystery. Everything.
Sherlock is not just some detective show. It’s the detective show. Our show.

THIS.

p.s: i think i should make Sherlock tag
Cheers!

Loyal Fandom is Loyal

What Daily Mail UK said about The Reichenbach Fall's Sherlock:

It was one of the most nail-biting television cliffhangers in recent years that left viewers on the edge of their seats.
And it summed up the speculations of how Sherlock faked his death:

1. He was helped in his plan by pathologist Molly Hooper who arranged a cadaver to replace Sherlock's 'dead' body on the floor and she would create a death certificate and arrange for paramedics to being him back to the morgue where she would help him escape.

2. It wasn't Sherlock that fell from the roof but Moriarty. When he shot and killed himself on the roof, Sherlock wrapped him in his coat and threw him over the ledge.

3. Fans have suggested that Moriarty was behind the kidnapping and wore a mask that looked like Sherlock - which the detective then put on Moriarty's dead body before pushing him off the roof. Or it was one of Moriarty's henchmen who had surgery to look like Holmes but was killed and replaced Sherlock's 'dead' body on the ground.

4. Holmes jumped and landed safely in a rubbish truck that was parked on the street, providing him a soft landing and allowing whoever was in on the plan to hide in there with a body that replaced Sherlock on the ground.

5. Sherlock's brother Mycroft was also in on the plan and arranged for the cyclist to knock Dr Watson down, causing enough of a diversion for Sherlock to pretend to be lying dead on the pavement before being safely taken away in the back of a waiting ambulance.

6. Dr Watson either imagined the fall from an hallucinogenic drug that makes you realise your worse fears, and imagined he'd seen his friend's body on the ground when it was actually someone else.

And here, one more thing. Fandom curse Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss as well as they praise them, a lot. Well, it's all only jokes, you know, and it's amusing. The duo also has a Twiiter acount and they often tweet about Sherlock, but mostly tease us to guess what happen in the next Sherlock episode. And here one of the fan creation about them:

DO YOU KNOW WHY MOFFAT AND GATISS TROLL TWITTER? THEY’RE NOT PAID OR ANYTHING. THEY LIKE IT. THEY GET OFF ON IT. THE CRAZIER THE SHERLOCK FANS FREAK OUT, THE MORE THEY GET OFF AND DO YOU KNOW WHAT? ONE DAY JUST POSTING ELUSIVE TWEETS WON’T BE ENOUGH. ONE DAY WE’LL BE WATCHING THE MOST HEARTBREAKING HOUR AND A HALF OF OUR LIVES, AND MOFFAT AND GATISS WILL BE THE ONES WHO PUT IT THERE.

Haha, I don't even change the capslock font. If you as freak as I am, or if you already watched A Study in Pink, you'll understand. It was Sally Donovan's line :))))))

Cheers!

The Post-Reichenbach Blues

So, I just watched The Reichenbach Fall last night, twice. Sounds crazy, but I couldn't sleep last night.
I watched it twice, and now I can't watch it anymore without crying. I was screaming, crying, and grossly sobbing until 3 am. Sorry of being too sentimental, but it is the cruelest episode of Sherlock ever. ;((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((

It was cruel from the beginning.
At the very first minutes, we forced to face that Sherlock is dead. John's expression when he told his therapist that his bestfriend died was... precious. I could feel the lost at him (brilliant acting skills, Martin has). Then chains of cases that Sherlock solved which attracts more media to have him on the papers. He became a famous celebrity but he totally didn't amuse with it. Many people told him not to show off, not to be clever, in fact they ordered him not to be himself... which is very heartbreaking.

And then came Moriarty, scary as hell. He made everyone doubt about Sherlock. John is the only one who still believe him (Mycroft didn't count for he's so ignorant). And he played Richard Brook, for God's sake!!!
Okay, I can't tell it in orders. I'm in shock. The point is, TRF is so damn good, I could feel the rage, the emptiness, the.. everything.

And the rooftop scene was THE MOST TORN-HEART-APART SCENE.
The phone call...
"I'm fake."
"I invented Moriarty."
"...but the very first time we met, very first time."
"No one could be that clever."
"You could."

"Goodbye, John." And he fell.

John's dialogue to Sherlock's grave was... oh my God:
"Umm.. you, you ever told me once that you weren't a hero. There were times I didn't even think you're human. But let me tell you this, you're the best man, the most human being I've ever known and no-one will ever convince me that you told me a lie. I was so alone, and I owe you so much. But please, one more thing, one more miracle, for me, Sherlock. Don't. Be. Dead. Stop it, stop this!--(cries)"

While John was speaking to his grave, Sherlock's observing from a distance. Well and alive.
I.. I just... .No, I just.. can't.

Okay, now I'm crying, actually crying.
This is how Sherlock with its only 6 episodes can make its fans become emotionally invested with it.
Sorry, since I'm obsessed with it, I found TRF is very heartbreaking. And I'm not alone, I looked the fandom and I can say they were far more sentimental.
There are lots of speculations of how Sherlock survived. It comforts me, really. Ridiculous, I know.

I'll show you some funny posts made by fandom, later.

Cheers!

A Dream Story

Mel gave us a homework last Tuesday. The homework is to make a story, true story that happened in our life. She told us to be careful with tenses. So, it’s nearly 1 am and I have been studying tenses since 11 pm, in order to recall my memory about tenses. Mel also told us to rehearse it because we will tell our story in front of the others and no reading allowed. I haven’t wrote a word cause I didn’t find which experience worth to tell (what a dull live I must had, haha). But then I decided to tell this:

I always love to write. I’ve been falling in love with writing since I was in junior high. It was my sister who made a short story about a lioness and its child which then imitated by me. Later, I wrote some short stories, from the story of a magic key, fairy land, an adventure of 4 kids, and a mysterious town.

When I was in high school, as a normal teenager, I fell in love with my classmate. One day, I dreamt about him. We were together in that dream and he offered me a raisin cookie which I hate. The dream was quite realistic, realistic enough to inspired me to write a short story. The story is titled ‘If I Have a Boyfriend’. One of the sentence was, “If I have a boyfriend, he will offer me a raisin cookie, but then I’ll say I don’t like raisin.”. It was very a teenager thing, wasn’t it?

Felt a bit proud of my work, I sent it to GADIS magazine. And you know what? About a couple of months later, it was published. I felt so surprised and delighted. It was my very first time for my work published in a media. Moreover, the inspiration came from a silly dream of a sentimental, falling-in-love teenager. I didn’t hope too much for the publication, but it turned out to be real. I will never forget this experience. The published short story also now framed in my room.

Ok, now’s time to rehearse.  Forgive me if the tenses got wrong, it’s a process of studying, anyway. :)

Cheers!

BC Looks Like Painting

Hello, greetings from Indonesia.
It's 20.42 here and something popped into my head a couple minutes ago.

I want to share my drawing of Benedict Cumberbatch. Well yeah I know it looks terrible, haha but I made it with love. Feel free to comment ;)

This is the original photo:

And this is my drawing:

Hahaha, his eyes become bigger in my drawing. Sorry guys, I'm an amateur in drawing, I don't understand scales nor coloring techniques. Just for fun, anyway.

Cheers!

Sherlock Madness

I’m so obsessed with Sherlock.

Oh, if anybody have no idea what Sherlock is, here’s the Wikipedia link for general information. I just can tell you that is a sleuth-drama series produced by BBC. Yes, it is about Sherlock Holmes, the famous detective character created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Just like the one you watch in cinema lately. Sherlock is a modern interpretation of the canon, old-fashioned Sherlock Holmes. It is AWESOME and BRILLIANT. I love every aspects, cast, crew, every details in it. Oh God.

I even join the fandom, which is ridiculously insane. Everyone’s analyzing a dialogue, scene, properties, anything. Gotta love Claire for her Tumblr account (Crumpets, I've been Cumberbatched), specially made for share her madness of Benedict Cumberbatch (oh, I envy her so much for she had many chances to meet and see Benedict). Sherlock makes me want to go to London even more!

Sadly, it is only 3 episodes every season. And there’s only 2 seasons (I think I have mentioned it earlier). I don’t know why Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat (the writer and producer) torture me and all Sherlockians out there that mean. Season 1 is aired in BBC 1 in 2010. I found out Sherlock in August 2011, when I was watching TV, shifting channels and stop in AXN Beyond with no purpose, I see the scene which the first time Sherlock meets John (A Study in Pink). At first I was like, “oh, I never see it before, what’s this?”. And then Benedict Sherlock said with his British accent in deep sexy voice, introduced himself to John, “the name’s Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221 B Baker Street--*wink*--afternoon!” he dashed out with his long coat.

And then I was, MY GOD. MY DEAR GOD, WHAT KIND OF SORCERY IS THAT?
I was drooling like an idiot, everytime I watch it in AXN.
Then I’m officially crazy for it, especially for *cough* Benedict *cough*. The bad side is I was getting into Sherlock a lot while August-September is when I should be totally focus to do my thesis. Therefore, I couldn’t think why this bloody yeast didn’t grow or why this tauco is much saltier than the other. There’s a imaginary stage, in my mind, which play Sherlock’s scene over and over again. Damn you, Sherlock! :D

But I don’t regret anything. No. I don’t know whether it’s a blessing or a disaster to obsessed with Sherlock. I just thank God for it. That’s what human do, anyway, right? I thank my dad too to subscribe the Indovision channels so I can watch AXN Beyond. Thank you Gema and Yogas for “the access” to every episode of Sherlock. And thank you Benedict for being lovely, I mean, for playing Sherlock beautifully. :D

I love how Sherlock and my conversation class enrich me with new vocabularies. Wicked! ;)

So, here's a little Sherlock's delight for you:

Oh and tomorrow the final episode of season 2 (dammit!) will be aired in BBC 1. The Reichenbach Fall, actually I'm not ready for it in any form. *sobbing*

Cheers!

How I Spent the Very First Day of 2012

Happy New Year, all! :D
How was your holiday? How did you spend your New Year's Eve? I remember exactly what I did in New Year's Eve last year. I was just laying in a couch, watching TV. Two years ago I did the same, watched TV, the only difference is I spent the night at my sister's house. Mel said that such a thing is totally boring. She will frown and yell, "get a life!!". Haha.

I went to Garut on 31st December, had my own fireworks (it was my brother who fire it, and I was cowardly running away from the firework so I can't see when it shoots the sky, too scared to hear its loud voice :p), and went to Ranca Buaya Beach in the next morning.
Gosh, it was a looooooooong way to get there. Yeah, Ranca Buaya is less known compare to Pangandaran or Pelabuhan Ratu or other south beach in West Java. But my father seemed very enjoy to explore the rocky road, quiet beach, a place visited by a few tourist and only local people around.
I prefer to go shopping in Singapore :p.

But, I tried to enjoy myself with nice thoughts and good tunes.
And here it is, an essay I made spontaneously along the twist roads. I made it in Bahasa, I wish I could write an essay in English, someday:

Lahan hijau terhampar sejauh mata memandang, bukit bergelombang dipenuhi tetumbuhan yang hidup begitu sejahteranya. Kabut merendah memeluk bukit.
Jalan berkelok menembus pegunungan.

We only had an hour or two in the beach, then went home in Garut. Yes, we didn't book any hotel, there's a house--it was previously my late grandmother's house, but then we renovated it--a family house. Oh, and we captured a rainbow in the middle our way home! I don't even remember when the last time I saw a rainbow, so it was exciting :D
Apparently the photo is in my cellphone, I activate its bluetooth service but it doesn't work, haha I have no idea how to fix it.

There's a lot fortune tellers who predict what will happen in 2012. Also we can easily found an astrology fortune in various magazine. I don't take it personally, it is just for fun. Hope this year will bring us bunch of awesomeness!

Cheers!
